Museveni receives new envoys to Uganda. In a delegation led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Gen. Abubakar Jeje Odongo,, President Yoweri Museveni received credentials from seven ambassadors and high commissioners, newly accredited to Uganda.
They included Mohamed Khelifi from Algeria, Simone Knapp (Austria), Pavel Vziatkin (Belarus), Mathews Jere (Zambia), Nayef Hapes Al-Otaibi (Kuwait), Tareque Muhammad (Bangladesh), and Andrew Onalenna (Botswana).
During the meeting held on Thursday, December 14 at State House, Entebbe, President Museveni assured the ambassadors of the government’s commitment to work with them to strengthen the cordial relationship with their country’s governments.
The ambassadors have also promised to work with the Ugandan government based on mutual respect and cooperation. The Ambassador of Algeria to Uganda, Mohamed Khelifi, updated President Museveni that his country is in the advanced stages of importing quality milk from Uganda.
President Museveni also noted that he was looking forward to welcoming their presidents to Uganda, especially those coming for the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit in January next year.
