RWANDAIR: Rwanda aircraft veers off runaway at Entebbe International airport. A Rwanda Air CRJ 9 aircraft flight number 464 has veered off the runway.
According to Uganda Civil Aviation Authority CAA, the incident happened at Entebbe International Airport on 20th April 2022 morning at 5:31 am the aircraft was landing at Entebbe International airport.
The Uganda Civil Aviation Authority blamed the morning incident on bad weather.
However, CAA has noted that all the passengers were disembarked safely, and the situation is under control.
“The second (alternate) runway 12/30 is operational for small and light aircraft”, they added.
By press time, Civil Aviation Authority stressed all the efforts to remove the aircraft from the runway strip were underway so that the main runway can return to full use.
