VIDEO: Kampala twin bombing (11/16/2021). Over 27 people are currently nursing injuries at Mulago National Referral hospital following injuries sustained in Tuesday morning Kampala city twin bombing.
According to Emmanuel Ainebyoona the Health Ministry Publicist, of the twenty-seven casualties, 24 are critically ill while others have sustained manageable injuries.
“Following the Unfortunate and cowardly act of terrorism, our health workers are working around the clock to save lives of those injured,” says Ainebyoona in a tweet.
Ambulances, one after another, are bringing in the injured majority of who are police officers. It is believed that they were brought from the Central Police Station-CPS, where the first blast went off, and some who were in the bomb attack on Parliamentary Avenue at Jubilee Insurance building which also houses the IGG’s office (Inspectorate of Government) next to the Ministry of Trade, Industries and Cooperatives, Ministry of ICT and National Guidance, Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Ministry of Education and Sports and the Parliament of Uganda.
At Mulago Hospital, the doctors and nurses are working tirelessly on the people being brought in to receive First Aid by Uganda Police Ambulances with the help of Redcross. Numerous people are on the floor groaning in pain in the casualty ward, begging for help.
Many people have cuts to their heads, arms, and stomachs. Some have broken limbs, while others are bleeding profusely.
Meanwhile, the Uganda Police Bomb squad has detonated a bomb that was left in an electronic transformer in between the Mabirizi complex and the Kooki tower just adjacent to the Central Police Station in the Capital and the famous City Square near Mapeera House which houses Centenary Bank Headquarters.
There has also been an alert of a suspected bomb abandoned in Nansanna a suburb in the outskirts of Kampala city of Uganda.
