Uganda has selected Five Members of Parliament to represent the country at the Pan African Parliament.
Among the MPs include Anifa Bangirana Kawooya (NRM, Mawogola West) and Hon. Felix Okot Ogong (NRM, Dokolo South), Juliet Achayo Lodou (NRM, Ngora) and Eric Musana (Independent, Buyaga East), and Patrick Nsamba Oshabe (NUP, Kassanda North).
The members were sworn in following their appointment by their respective political parties and approval by the Parliament of Uganda on 24th May 2021.
The Members swore in at the start of the ongoing 4th Ordinary Session of the 5th Pan African Parliament, presided over by Ag. President, Chief Fortune Charumbira.
The Pan African Parliament is a continental institution based in Midrand, South Africa established to provide a platform for people from all African states to be involved in discussions and decision making on the problems and challenges facing the continent.
The establishment allows Uganda to fully participate in the development and regional integration of Africa through discussions and decision making on challenges facing the African continent, and find long-lasting solutions e.g peace, and security.
