The Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) briefed the Honourable Minister of education and sports in Uganda, also the first lady yesterday January 21st 2025, about the PLE results of Primary seven (P.7) candidates of the academic year 2024.
The briefing was conducted by the UNEB team that was led by the Chairperson, Prof. Celestino Obua
The board also clearly announced that the results are to be officially released on Thursday January 23rd, 2025 at State house, Nakaseero.
“The Minister for Education and Sports Mama Janet K. Museveni will officially release the results of the 2024 Primary Leaving Examination (PLE) on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 at State House Nakaseero” the Board stated.
Mr. Dan N. Odongo revealed that overall, the performance of candidates in 2024 is better than that of 2023 noting that a total of 798,771 candidates registered for the 2024 examination, compared to 749, 254 in 2023. This represents a percentage increase of 6.6%.
The official release of the results will be streamed live on both UNEB (UNEB_UG) and MOES social media platforms starting at 11:00 a.m.
After the official release, parents, candidates and well wishers will be able to access the results via SMS on their mobile phone handsets by typing <PLE, leave Space>, full Index No, and sending to 6600; e.g. PLE<Space> 00123/356, send to 6600.
“The schools will be able to access the results through their portals while printed copies will be picked by the respective District/City/Municipal Inspectors of Schools.” Jennifer Kalule Musamba the principal public relations officer, UNEB emphasized.
