On the 7th January 2025, the Head of the Secretariat in the office of the President, Major Asiimwe Martha convened in a meeting with Abim district leaders to discuss issues concerning proper and impactful effect of government projects on ground.
In the meeting, Major Asiimwe emphasized and highlighted the importance and strength of teamwork. She added that collaboration among leaders can help to improve the quality of service delivery.
“Collaboration is the backbone of effective service delivery. When we work together, we can ensure that every project and program impacts the lives of our people positively,”she said
She also urged the leaders to align their efforts with the government’s socio-economic transformation agenda.
Major Asiimwe also highlighted key achievements in the district, attributing success to the President’s leadership and implementation of strategic plans.
The RDC Secretariat’s role was underscored, focusing on service delivery monitoring, evaluating government programs, and tackling corruption through internal mechanisms. Maj. Asiimwe urged leaders to ensure transparency and informed them of the toll-free line for reporting misconduct, enabling citizens to participate in the fight against corruption without fear.
She called on the team to prioritise initiatives that create jobs, enhance household incomes, and uplift vulnerable groups, reiterating H.E.’s directive for 2021-2026 as a term dedicated to socio-economic transformation.
The meeting concluded with a rallying call for unity: “Let us work together as one team with a shared goal of improving lives and ensuring that government projects deliver to tangible benefits to the people of Abim District.”
