Following the scandal that took place on the 2nd January 2025 at the empele concert between artiste Pallaso and his rival Alien skin, issues have been raised by different individuals about the increased rate at which indiscipline is finding it’s roots into the Ugandan music industry especially through gang fights.
The vice has created unbearable costs to event organizers as well as those that offer their own hard earned money to enjoy these concerts that in the end turn out to be kick boxing fields.
As a result, malicious damage has been imposed on property belonging to event organizers and physical harm to those that attend the event.
On the 3rd January 2025, a group of event organizers led by one Balaam events boss held a meeting to discuss, with his fellow events promoters that included banjo events, abtex events and other promoters, measures they could take to control such actions and they resolved that the two artists would be on a temporary ban from stage performance for 90 days as the police continues to investigate the matters.
Furthermore the discussants resolved that whoever would be found guilty of the offences that included assault would be banned from stage performance for a period of 12 months.
“I had a chance of speaking to Pallaso about this issue and he said he realized what they did was wrong, and that it was Alien skin that started it all. I haven’t had a chance to speak to Alien skin yet, but I’d met him before and gave him advice concerning how he behaves that it was not good for his own reputation”, said Balaam events boss
