MC Kats quits NBS, NTV’s Crysto Panda set to replace him. The entertainment department at the Naguru based Next Media Services housing NBS TV among others is currently in dismay after their popular show host Edwin Katamba a.k.a MC Kats is counting days to quit the station.
Katamba who has been co-hosting the NBSAfter5 show with colleagues, Douglas Lwanga, DJ Roja, and DVJ Mercy Pro, is reportedly quitting the station to concentrate on his HIV/AIDS education campaigns that seem to be giving him more earning.
In fact, Graha Details has learnt that the development comes a few days after Kats signed a mega-deal a few days ago with Uganda Aids Commission and other health organizations to run the “#EndAidsBy2030” campaign with an intention of sensitizing masses on HIV/AIDS.
It is also reported that Nation TV (NTV)’s Crysto Panda has already signed papers with NBS TV legal team to replace Kats however this will only be confirmed after the station’s official announcement expected early next month.
MC Kats started TV life with defunct WBS TV as a teenager co-presenter of the then Teens’ Club before joining NTV as Xpozed show presenter after which he was hooked up by NBS in April 2016 and later he was joined by Lwanga still from NTV and now Crysto Panda.
Of late, Kats has been attending seminars, spreading the gospel on HIV/AIDS courtesy of the Uganda Aids Commission.
‘End Aids By 2030′ organisers felt MC Kats’ popularity will help them reach as many Ugandans as possible after he publicly announced he was HIV positive in December 2019 while presenting at Wave Lounge.
