Government of Uganda has approved boards of directors for the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) and the Architects Registration Board (ARB).
Daudi Migereko has been maintained as the UTB Board chairman while Lillian Ajarova, the UTB executive director, will serve as secretary to the board.
The new board will serve for 3 years. UTB is the official government destination marketing organization with a mandate to promote and market Uganda worldwide as the preferred tourism destination in Africa.
Following the recent announcement of managerial changes at Uganda Tourism Board (UTB) the other members on the board are Lyazi Vivian, Mwanja Paul, Ronald Kaggwa, Al-Hajji Eng. Sooma Ayub, Chemonges Mongea Sabila, Kirya Eddy, Muhwezi Susan Kabonero, Dr. Katende Suleiman and Biriggwa Yewagnesh Mamo Yogi.
The Architects Registration Board (ARB) also got five members on the board of director which will be chaired by Robert Henry Kiggundu. Miriam Lawino will serve as vice-chairperson. Other members of the board are Jacinta Kabarungi Bishanga, Stephen Sendi Kajumba and Verna Mbabazi Mwinganisa.
This is a Statutory Body established by an Act of Parliament in 1996 to regulate the standard of architecture in the country. The Architects Registration Act, Cap 269 was passed into law to empower the regulation and maintenance of the standards and practice of Architecture in Uganda.
